CNC machining is a widely-used manufacturing process for plastic and metals, such as ABS, PA, PMMA, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, and etc.
SLA and SLS are two widely used 3D printing technologies for plastic parts.
For vacuum casting, you need CNC or 3D printing to process a set of prototypes according to the drawings, then mold the prototypes with silica gel, take out the prototypes, and then inject the composite mold material. Commonly used materials are ABS, PC, PP, PE and rubber like polyurethanes. Vacuum casting is used for small batch protptype production. One set of silicone mold can replicate 10-15 sets of products.
